Hedgehog! In robot pants!
This was done over a couple of days. I did some pencils on the 25th (not much), did half the inking on the 27th, the rest today. The execution isn't perfect (damn ink smear) but I like the concept. Birds gathering stars for their king's nest. Had just finished a Maakie's book, so the eye is definitely influenced by that, though I made a concious effort to not let it look too much like Drinky Crow.

A rare piece where I sat down, penciled, then inked... for more than five seconds. I like it. Also, the first time I made stars both fore and background, an effect I like, like the stars are on strings.
I don't remember the exact words written on the eye, but it's about preaching to the monkies. You can sort of read the last words there "...and he ate them"
